Okay.
My new school is starting to flat out offend me. I go to a private Christian school. So of course, there's gonna be a Bible class. The Bible class is more of a "share your feelings" and "how does that make you feel" class though, so one day the subject was "Have you ever judged someone before you knew them?"
And of course, some boy in my class has to be all "I HATE GAY PPL. I MEEN DATS A S1N MAN I DUN CAIR IF I NO THEM OR NOT. ADAM AND EVEN NOT ADAM AND STEVE, MAN!!1!"
And the WHOLE time, our teacher (who is the principal for this class) was just nodding in agreement. Ohman. I've never wanted to just punch someone so hard before. And he was sitting right next to me, too. That offended me so badly. There is this one man at our church, who is...well, quite obviously gay. And I haven't said much to him, but from what I have seen of him (He's very active in our church) he is without a doubt one of the nicest people I have ever met. I mean, he's just got back from going on a freaking missionary trip through Europe, he goes to church every Sunday and is just flat out a great person. And to pretty much say that he's going to hell for being gay...Mygawd. That just makes me angry. He's /WAY/ better of a person than the boy that goes gay-bashing during BIBLE class.
Please don't get the wrong idea, though. I'm not gay. >> But I have absolutely NO problem with gays and bis. I have friends that are gay and bi, which only makes this situation more irriating for me.

Now, getting on to the evolution part of this rant...
This really REALLY offends me. Because my freaking SCIENCE BOOK flat out told me that I'm not a "true Christian" and am on strait pathway to hell.
Soyeah. We're obviously at the section of the book that studies evolution. And of course, because it's the "Christian's version", it's gonna have all the facts proving that evolution isn't real and creatism is right and all that crap. Okayyeah. I'm use to that. Any Christian science text book is going to be giving all the facts to support creatism. But then I get to this one paragraph that mentions the "Theistic theory". Basicly, it's a comprimise between evolution and creatism, saying that God created evolution, which is completely what I beleive. That kind of perked my interests so I continue to read. But then I am horribly offended to read the rest of the paragraph that pretty much states "But TRUE Christians know this is not a reasonable comprimise. That TRUE Christians cannot hold onto both evolution and the bible."
BULL. FREAKING. CRAP.
I'm not going to be told by a FREAKING SCIENCE TEXT BOOK that I'm not a Christian.
This whole school is "Our way or the high way to hell" and I'm sick of it. Deciding weather your a Christian or beleive in God should be between you and God, and no one else should have a say in the matter. No one should have the right to flat out say "Your not a Christian, your going to hell". I don't care if it's the freaking pope, it's just not right.
I beleive in evolution. I don't think being gay is evil. If a nine-year old girl gets raped, YES I think she should have an abortion. Apperently these facts make me not a "real Christian" to a lot of people, which I just find flat out sad.
As I said earlier, weather or not your a Christian is a choice for YOU and God. NOT God and the world.
